Oral surgery can often make patients anxious about seeing a dentist, but our practice uses sedation services to make your visit as comfortable as possible. For a root canal procedure, your dentist will first conduct an exam using scans and x-rays to determine where the infection is, and how extensive.
Your dentist will use a thin drill to remove the infected pulp and smoothen the inside of the tooth. Then the cavity is disinfected and sealed permanently, preserving the tooth and preventing the need for an extraction.
